Star is in need of a dynamic sales executive with 3-5 years of business to business sales experience with executive level exposure preferably in a transportation lease selling environment

The Lease Account Sales Manager will be responsible for identifying sales opportunities, conducting sales calls and customer visits.  Account Managers generate sales and revenue through prospecting new business customer accounts, retaining existing customers, and penetrating existing customers to increase their volume/revenue of business with Star Truck Rentals, Inc.  This position is responsible for exceeding monthly revenue quotas through ongoing customer development and prospecting activities, consistent proposal general and active management of a sales pipeline.  This position will ensure the satisfaction of their customers though their active involvement in addressing customer issues and concerns.


  • Identify, pursue, and maintain a constant pipeline of potential customers that meet or exceed established quotas through prospecting, networking and referral activities
  • Identify and propose products, prices and availability, product use, and credit terms to customers that translate into closed, contracted business deals.
  • Build relationships with customers by acting as a transportation consultant
  • To stay abreast of industry trends including market conditions, product innovations, and competitors’ products, prices, and sales to maximize effectiveness and help develop sales strategies to leverage these trends.
  • To extend and renew existing contracts, identify opportunities for growth, new industries and additional products and services
  • Develop and maintain full working knowledge of all company systems, procedures, and policies
  • Other projects and tasks as assigned by manager


  • 3- 5 years of sales and customer service experience required with transportation industry preferred
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel required
  • Customer service skills, flexibility, and strong phone skills are required
  • Must be highly organized, detail oriented and results driven
  • Ability to prioritize and handle numerous tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work well under pressure while assisting a wide variety of customers and fostering relationships with key industry contacts
  • Proven track record of success in securing business with large, complex, multi-location accounts
  • Must have strong selling and profession presentation skills
  • Must be willing to travel
